2023 Girls' High School Drills and Shopping Spree
Video courtesy of Joe Fike

This year’s Players’ Drills were a huge success with 328 girls attending - 100 MORE than our previous record. The Shopping Spree is a huge part of that. We want to thank everyone who donated clothing and the women who sorted, staged, and “sold” over 1200 items to the girls. We send a special shout out to the amazing ladies who made this year's Spree our best ever:
Jen Stewart, Lisa Araya, Erin Black, Briana Starr, Lauren Eittreim, Mehregon Moerke, Linette Holliday, Agnes DeJong, Marites Idica, Trellis Green, Kristin Weber, Linh Bui, Natalie Chen, Heather Tkac, Ashley Periera, Donna Ludington, & Michelle Pisano.
Hard working volunteers at other stations that made the day run smoothly included Dianne Benshoof, Chandler Smith, Sandy Matthews, Tammy Duket, Melissa Sweeney, Leo Ruiz, Tom Curran and Fred Kumpel.
We also had great support from our tennis youth with huge contributions from Bella Benshoof, Eli Noel, Olivia Tobias, Austin Cusator, Eli Jimenez, and Zeb Duket
Professional court instruction was provided by Ryan Chavez, Kayleen Sanchez, Santino Morel Reider, John Marble, Noel Dalton, Chuck Beatty, Marc Gomez, Nicola Rusinova, Art Sherwyn, Zach Gomez, Sebastian Junghanns, Jonni Seymour, Filip Novacek, and Buddy Turl. That entire operation was developed and led by Mark Fredriksz.
Photography was provided by Edgar Pankey and Leah Coughlin. Joe Fike put together an amazing video for us.
We have many generous sponsors, but we want to directly acknowledge Kaiser Permanente for sponsoring these drills and Little Caesars for feeding hundreds of hungry teenagers.
Last but certainly not least, we want to thank the members, Board, and staff at BRC for letting us (again) own the club for a few hours.
As you can see, it took an army to pull off such a great day. If we omitted a name, we sincerely apologize.
